Grenoble, France – April 2026 – The VERSAPRINT consortium gathered in Grenoble on 15 April for its Final General Assembly, marking a major milestone as the European project enters its concluding phase.
VERSAPRINT is an EU-funded initiative accelerating the transition to clean and sustainable transport while supporting the circular economy of batteries. The project develops innovative printed battery solutions to enhance safety, performance, cost-efficiency, and environmental sustainability, primarily targeting the automotive and aeronautics sectors, with additional applications in waterborne transport and stationary energy storage. Covering the entire battery value chain, VERSAPRINT brings together leading experts from France, Spain, Germany, Belgium, and Italy.

Representatives from across the consortium met in person to review overall progress, coordinate final implementation steps, and align on the actions needed to ensure a successful project completion.
The General Assembly provided a valuable opportunity for direct exchange, strengthening collaboration across partners and reinforcing the shared commitment to delivering impactful results in next-generation battery technologies. During the meeting, partners presented updates across all Work Packages, reviewed key achievements and technical outcomes, and discussed final activities, reporting requirements, and closure processes.
April: a month of key milestones for VERSAPRINT
The General Assembly followed two major dissemination activities held earlier in the week. On 14 April, the consortium hosted the final project event: the VERSAPRINT Industrial Workshop, titled “Versatile Printed Battery Solutions for Next-Generation Electrified Mobility.” The workshop brought together stakeholders across the innovation chain and enabled in-depth discussions on how printed battery technologies can transition from research to industrial deployment.
On 15 April, VERSAPRINT also hosted the last EU-INGENIOuS Battery Cluster webinar series, focusing on one of the sector’s key challenges: ensuring safety in next-generation battery designs. The online session gathered experts from BATSS, EXTENDED, NEXTBAT, and VERSAPRINT, creating a cross-project exchange of strategies, technological developments, and experimental results related to battery safety.
As VERSAPRINT moves toward completion, the consortium reaffirms its commitment to advancing sustainable battery innovation and supporting Europe’s clean energy transition. The progress achieved so far highlights the strength of collaboration among partners and the potential of printed battery technologies to transform future mobility applications.
