The VERSAPRINT project was recently highlighted at the prestigious European Technical Coatings Congress (ETCC24), held from September 23 to 25, at the iconic Palace of the Popes in Avignon, France. LEITAT, a key project partner, proudly presented the latest advancements of VERSAPRINT during the event.
Dr. Xavier Palmer represented the project and showcased its innovative progress through a poster titled “Coatings with Embedded Microchannels for Efficient Cooling in Electric Cells.” This presentation highlights LEITAT’s ongoing work in BB1, focusing on coatings technology that integrates microchannels, designed to enhance cooling efficiency in electric cells — an essential development for improving the performance and sustainability of battery systems.
The ETCC24 is one of the most important scientific and technical events in the coatings industry, bringing together leading researchers, institutes, universities, and industrial stakeholders. It provided a unique opportunity for VERSAPRINT to connect with thought leaders and experts in both industry and academia, strengthening collaborative efforts to push the boundaries of coatings and energy solutions.
As part of the VERSAPRINT project, LEITAT’s advancements in coatings with embedded microchannels continue to demonstrate the potential to transform thermal management in electric batteries, contributing to safer and more efficient energy storage systems.
We would like to extend our gratitude to all the attendees and stakeholders for their interest and support. VERSAPRINT is committed to continuing its journey toward driving innovation and sustainability in the sector.
