VERSAPRINT takes centre stage at Battery Innovation Days 2025

VERSAPRINT proudly joined this year’s Battery Innovation Days (BID) 2025 – Europe’s flagship event for battery research, innovation, and industrial collaboration. Bringing together scientists, innovators, policy leaders, and industry stakeholders, BID is a key platform for showcasing how European projects are shaping the future of energy storage.

This year, VERSAPRINT had a prominent dual presence:

  • On stage, with Lisa-Lou Gracia representing our project and the EU-INGENIOuS cluster during a high-level session.
  • On the exhibition floor, with a joint cluster booth presenting collective achievements and future directions for next-generation European battery technologies.

A voice on the European stage

VERSAPRINT’s coordinator Lisa-Lou Gracia (CEA) took part in the session “Driving change: The EU Automotive Action Plan and its Battery Breakthroughs”.

Speaking on behalf of the EU-INGENIOuS cluster (TEMPEST, EXTENDED, NEXTBAT, BATSS, and VERSAPRINT), she highlighted how collaborative research is pushing forward advanced materials, performance-enhancing components, and safer, more adaptable battery systems.

The cluster’s presence underscored a unified commitment to addressing Europe’s mobility, sustainability, and decarbonisation goals.

A strong visibility at the EU-INGENIOuS cluster booth

Alongside the four sister projects, VERSAPRINT showcased our progress at the joint EU-INGENIOuS booth, where visitors had the opportunity to interact with researchers, explore demonstrators, and discover how the cluster’s innovations complement one another to deliver impactful, industry-driven solutions.

The cluster booth once again proved to be a powerful platform for joint communication, fostering exchanges with industry leaders, OEMs, technology providers, policymakers, and the broader scientific community.

Strengthening Europe’s battery ecosystem

BID 2025 offered VERSAPRINT valuable opportunities to:

  • Showcase technological achievements
  • Engage directly with industrial stakeholders
  • Strengthen ties with other EU-funded battery projects
  • Collect insights that will guide the upcoming validation and demonstration phases

As electrification accelerates, VERSAPRINT is proud to contribute to a coordinated European effort to deliver safer, greener, and more versatile battery systems capable of powering the future of mobility across road, rail, air, and sea.

Stay tuned for more updates as we continue advancing our building blocks and preparing our final research phase.
