VERSAPRINT is proud to announce its active participation in the newly established EU-INGENIOuS cluster, a European initiative focused on the next generation of battery systems. This collaboration marks a significant milestone for VERSAPRINT as it enhances the visibility and impact of our project through collective efforts with other leading EU battery projects.
About EU-INGENIOuS
EU-INGENIOuS is a dynamic cluster formed under the Horizon Europe call “Next generation technologies for High-performance and safe-by-design battery systems for transport and mobile applications (Batteries Partnership).” It brings together five innovative projects — BATSS, EXTENDED, NEXTBAT, TEMPEST, and VERSAPRINT— each dedicated to advancing battery technologies that are safer, more efficient, and environmentally sustainable.
Chaired by Jeremy Warren from TEMPEST, the cluster aims to magnify the communication and dissemination efforts of each project, creating a significant multiplier effect for our collective activities. This collaboration is essential for boosting the impact of our research and ensuring that our innovations reach a broader audience.
For VERSAPRINT, being part of EU-INGENIOuS is more than just a collaborative opportunity—it’s a strategic move to enhance our project’s visibility and extend its impact across Europe. By participating in this cluster, we can better align our innovations with the broader goals of the European battery community, particularly in advancing safety, performance, and sustainability in battery systems for transport and mobile applications.
Key Activities and Events
- Joint webinar: EU-INGENIOuS recently hosted its first webinar, “Empowering Europe: 7 New EU-funded Battery Research Initiatives,” in collaboration with other leading EU battery projects. This event served as a platform to share insights, discuss challenges, and explore solutions for the future of battery technologies.
- Battery Innovation Days 2024: Scheduled for November, the conference will be another significant event where VERSAPRINT, alongside its cluster partners, will participate. This event will provide a unique opportunity to showcase our project’s advancements and engage with key stakeholders in the battery industry.
Impact on the European Battery Landscape
The work being carried out by the EU-INGENIOuS cluster is crucial for Europe’s transition to a climate-neutral transport sector. With transport accounting for approximately 25% of the EU’s total CO2 emissions, the need for high-performance, safe, and sustainable battery systems has never been more critical. The innovations developed within this cluster, including those from VERSAPRINT, will play a key role in achieving these goals.
VERSAPRINT’s involvement in EU-INGENIOuS not only enhances our project’s reach but also contributes significantly to the broader objectives of the European Union’s battery strategy. By collaborating with other top-tier projects, we are helping to shape the future of battery technology and its application in various transport and mobile sectors.
Stay tuned for more updates on our progress and upcoming events as we continue to push the boundaries of what’s possible in battery technology.
